Lecture Series - The Art of the Flute Maker Brent Haines
We greatly appreciate Wilda Wahrenbrock coming to speak at the CAC on June 19. Her beautiful flutes were works of art and to hear her play them was a true pleasure. Guests learned about the history of the Native American flute and about how they are designed and constructed. Thank you Wilda!!
Bicycle Challenge - take bicycle parts and make a random object of art!
This challenge is for everyone in the community. You may enter as an individual or as a team - grab some co-workers or your Sunday school class and have a day of fun and merriment tearing down an old bicycle and using its parts to make a sculpture.
This event coincides with Autumn in Bonham and the resulting sculptures will be displayed at the starting point at Bonham High School the day of the rally - September 29. The most original sculpture wins $100 and we hope all entries will be donated to the Creative Arts Center to auction as a fundraiser.
We have a few bicycles that have been donated for those who need them (first come-first served) but you may use your own. Bicycle parts must be used (not motorcycle parts). Connecting hardware like wire or hinges etc is ok. Welding is ok, too.
Show your support for the Bonham rally tradition that helped put Bonham on the map. More info soon.
